Into the Blue: Our Beds are the Best Places to Begin

Good morning,

This week, I wrote you a poem, a prayer for serenity.

Climbing into bed, it occurred to me the nightly ritual of covering ourselves is the best place to begin, again, and again, and again.

As always,
thank you for reading.

Our Beds are the Best Place to Begin
by Georgia Reath

Strip her bare,
bedding at your feet.
Naked in blue,
take a beat.

Lay her cotton kiss,
threads gentle on your skin.
Covered in tenderness,
check in.

Unfurl her comfort,
feathers playing at your breast.
Warm with delight,
let worries arrest.

Open her quilt,
stitches of prayer.
Weighted in gratitude,
breathe quiet air.

Place the pillows,
more feathers crowning your head.
Yearning to stillness,
surrender to bed.
